Jet Scream is episode 3a of Season 1 of Rocko's Modern Life.

Plot

Rocko receives two tickets from his boss for the comic convention in Las Vegas. Heffer is reluctant to come, but is convinced after Rocko tells him there's food on the plane. At the airport, their bags were swiped with the labels "Guam" and "Detroit", and blasted off floating into outer space. The Metal detects numerous things on Rocko, including one of his teeth, which had to be ripped out by the metal detector guard. The two go through first class, to their seats in coach. The takeoff is very shaky, literally, the aircraft with the two propellers it's a Trash copy of a Boeing 747-100.

Heffer fools with the 1st and 2nd buttons, which end up freezing and frying Rocko. Heffer then presses the 3rd button, which jettisons the co-pilot out of the aircraft. Heffer then sees a cake being wheeled into the 1st class section, Heffer decides to break into 1st class, which is blocked by an electric force field. Rocko tries to stop Heffer, but gets zapped by the force field, while Heffer somehow makes it past without being electrocuted. Rocko goes back to "his" seat and tries to eat a peanut but the troublemaking kid on the Aircraft keeps moving his seat, which is attached to Rocko's plate.

When Rocko gets out of his seat to go to the bathroom, he gets hit a stewardess's cart, he then tries to make it to the bathroom without getting hit by a cart, and surprisingly succeeds, but unfortunately for him, all the stalls are occupied, but then a skunk comes out of one, which Rocko runs into. After Rocko finishes "tinkling" he throws a paper towel in the toilet and flushes. The plane immediately loses altitude, and Rocko nearly gets sucked out of the Aircraft, but pulls the paper towel out of it and the Aircraft recovers Altitude.

Rocko returns to his seat while receiving garnering angry faces from the other passengers. While listening to music, the troublemaking kid connects Rocko's headphones to the air conditioner. Rocko, having had enough, Busted the troublemaker kid into the overhead compartment. Heffer comes back from first class, and the plane introduces to severe bad weather facing turbulence, a lightning hits the propeller 1 goes to free fall to ground nearly crashes, and ends up landing back in O-Town. Rocko, still seeing their bags missing at the baggage claim, he was finally fed up with the plane ride, he decides to take the bus to Vegas, while Heffer takes another plane. On the bus the driver alerts the passengers that the bus needs fixing, they take a sharp turn and (presumably) gets into an accident.

Trivia

  • This is the first time that Heffer says "That was a hoot!" outside of the theme song.
  • The picture on the cover of the "Survive" book Heffer is reading at the beginning of the episode is a reference to the Uruguayan Flight 571 Disaster, where a plane carrying a rugby team crashed into the Andes, forcing them to eat the dead bodies of their teammates to survive starvation.
  • Controversy: This episode was banned after the 9/11 attacks but later re-aired.
